R P P Girls High School & S G Shah Higher Sec School

Down in Wadhwancity, the R P P Girls High School and S G Shah Higher Sec School has been a fixture for the girls in this part of Surendra Nagar for many years. It is a bit of a long name to say, so most people around here just call it the girls' school. The building is older, with high ceilings and wide hallways that stay relatively cool even when the Gujarat sun is beating down hard outside. Every morning, you can see groups of girls walking or cycling here from all over the city. We have different sections for the high school and the higher secondary levels. The staff room is usually full of teachers drinking tea and marking papers during their free periods. It is a busy place but not in a corporate way. It feels more like a big, slightly disorganized family most of the time. We have our sports days and our exams, and the usual school events. The benches in the classrooms have names carved into them from students who left years ago. We try to keep the place tidy, but with so many students, there is always something that needs fixing or painting. The water cooler is a very popular spot during the breaks. We do not have fancy computer labs in every corner, but we have what we need to get through the syllabus. It is a place where local girls come to learn and hang out together before going home.
