You can find us over on O V H Road in Basavan Gudi, not too far from Janak Hospital. Shree Jay Jalaram Steel is the kind of place where you’re going to hear metal clanging most of the time. It’s not a quiet job. We spend a lot of our time moving heavy stuff around and making sure things are where they need to be. The Chikalda area is usually pretty active, so there’s always something going on outside our door. We’ve got a small crew here. We aren't wearing suits or sitting behind big desks. Mostly, we have grease on our hands and we’re wearing old clothes that can handle the work. It’s a straightforward way to spend a day. People come by with their trucks or sometimes just a small list written on a piece of scrap paper. We do what we can to get them what they need. Sometimes the weather makes it tough, especially when it rains and the ground gets muddy around the yard, but we don't stop for that. It’s just how it is working with steel. We’ve got a routine that seems to keep things moving. There’s a lot of competition around here, but we just stick to our corner and keep busy. We don’t have a fancy waiting room or anything like that. If you come by, you’ll probably just see us working near the entrance. It’s practical, honest work, and that’s plenty for us.
