Sangeeta Steel & Gift Corner

We run Sangeeta Steel & Gift Corner here in Vadodara. The shop is on Waghodia Road in the Bhagal area. It’s a place filled with all sorts of things, mostly steel utensils for the kitchen and various gift items for when someone has a wedding or a birthday to go to. Our shelves are pretty packed. You’ll find pots, pans, plates, and those little things people need for their homes every day. It gets a bit cramped when we get new stock in because we try to fit as much as we can on the floor. People from around Waghodia Road come in looking for something specific, and usually, we can find it under a pile or in a back corner. We’ve been here a long time and seen the neighborhood change quite a bit. It’s a busy street, especially in the evenings when everyone is out shopping. We don't do much fancy display work, we just put the items out where people can see them. Sometimes the steel clatters when someone is looking through the stacks, which is just part of the day. Gift wrapping is something we do a lot of, especially during the festival seasons. It’s just me and a couple of others keeping things moving. We like being part of the Bhagal community and helping neighbors find a good sturdy tiffin or a nice present for their relatives. We even have some old plastic buckets and stuff tucked in the back.
