Meena Steel Centre

Meena Steel Centre is situated right by Sardarbaug in the town of Bardoli. It is usually a pretty noisy place because of all the heavy metal being moved around throughout the day. We have got large stacks of steel and iron bars just sitting in the yard. It gets quite dusty during the summer months, but that is simply part of the lifestyle here. I have worked in this yard for many years and my hands are almost always covered in some kind of grease or rust. We mostly sell to local builders and people doing their own home repairs. They tell us what they are looking for, we cut the pieces to size or load them up, and then they are on their way. We do not have a fancy showroom with any air conditioning. It is a warehouse, plain and simple. Some days it gets incredibly hot under the tin roof, so we just drink a lot of water and keep our heads down. My cousin helps out with the heavy loading when things get backed up. We use an old truck that has seen much better days, but it still gets the job done. People around Bardoli know exactly where to find us when they need materials. We do not spend money on advertisements because word of mouth works better. Sometimes we run out of a certain size and have to wait. We just tell the truth about the delay and people usually understand.
