Jalaram Steel Industries

Jalaram Steel Industries is based in Jalaram Estate, which is over in the Kapodra area on Varachha Road. It’s an older estate, so the buildings have that worn-in look. We have a fair amount of space here for our steel work. The noise of metal hitting metal is something you just get used to after a couple of days. Varachha Road is always humming with activity, and there are always people moving back and forth. Our section of the estate is usually quite busy with loading and unloading. We don’t have any glossy brochures or a polished reception desk. It’s just a bunch of us in our work clothes dealing with the steel. The floor is uneven in some places and the lighting isn't the best, but we know where everything is. We have a small desk for the paperwork which is usually covered in dust from the shop floor. It’s a very hands-on kind of place. We’ve been at this Kapodra location for a long time. People around here know the Jalaram Estate well. It’s not a fancy corporate office by any means, just a place where we put in our hours and get the steel ready for whoever needs it. Some days the heat inside the shed is quite something, but we just keep going. It's just the way it is here for us.
