Essar Steel

Santhosh Kumar is the one running things here at Essar Steel, which is at A-601, Varday Residency. We are located right beside the Jalaram Mandir, near the LP Sawani area in Adajan, Surat. It is a very easy landmark for people to find in this part of the city. Being in the 395009 area, we are right in the middle of a busy residential and commercial neighborhood. Our daily work involves a lot of coordinating between where we store the steel and the people who call us with orders. It isn't a corporate setup at all. Most of the time, Santhosh is busy on the phone or checking through the latest arrivals of metal. The bells from the mandir nearby remind us of the time throughout the day. We deal with different types of steel supplies that people need for local construction. The office is basically just a room with a computer, some big ledger books, and a few chairs for whoever stops by. We don't spend any money on advertising. Most people find us because they live nearby or heard about us from a friend. It’s a very practical way to run things. We see the same truck drivers and contractors all the time. The Surat heat can be pretty rough, so we always have some cold water ready for the staff and visitors. We just take it one day at a time.
