Our office is in the Ferrous Tower, part of the Nanad Niketan area on Hazira Road. It’s a busy spot in Surat because of all the industry around here. We deal with steel, which is pretty much the lifeblood of this part of town. Our space at I4/55 is nothing special to look at, just a place to get the business done. We spend a lot of time looking out at the trucks moving up and down Hazira Road. It’s noisy and dusty but that’s the way we like it. We don't have any marketing brochures or people in suits trying to sell you things. We just handle the steel orders and make sure the logistics are sorted out. Most of the time, we are busy on the phone or checking the stock levels. It gets quite warm in the tower during the summer months but we keep the fans going. We’ve been here long enough to know most of the drivers by their first names. It’s a community of people who just want to get the job done and get home. We don't make big promises, we just do our part in the supply chain. If you need us, we are usually there from early morning until the sun goes down over the industrial park. There is always a stray dog hanging around the entrance waiting for some scraps. Usually, the lift takes a while to arrive so we just take the stairs.
