Essar Steel

Working out of the Essar Township on the Surat-Hazira Road means we are right in the thick of it. Our spot is F4/39 in Nand Niketan. It’s a busy area with a lot of people coming and going for work. The air always smells a bit like metal and machinery around here. We deal with steel every day, mostly focusing on the details that others might skip. It’s a lot of coordination since the township is so big. We don't have a big fancy office with glass walls. It’s just a practical space where we can sit down and get the paperwork sorted. The road outside can get backed up with trailers, so we’ve learned to be patient. Most of the people we work with are also from around the township, so we all know each other. We don't spend money on ads or trying to look bigger than we are. We just provide the steel that's needed for the local projects. Sometimes the power cuts out and we just take a break and talk shop until it comes back on. It’s a simple life and the work is hard but it’s fair. We just want to make sure the loads are right before they leave the gate. Living and working in the same township makes things easier, even if the noise from the heavy machinery never really stops for the night.
