Essar Steel Ltd.

We are located at J2/12 in Nandniketan, which is the Essar Township in Hazira, Gujarat. For us at Essar Steel Ltd., this is our base of operations for the day-to-day tasks that keep the larger machine moving. The township is like its own little world, and our office in the J2 block is right in the heart of it. It is not a glamorous place, just a few rooms with desks, chairs, and a lot of paperwork. We handle the local distribution and some of the site management from here. The humidity in Hazira can be quite high, so we usually have the windows shut and the fans on full blast. We do not really do marketing or sales pitches from this office. We are more about the technical side and making sure the steel gets processed correctly. A lot of our time is spent talking to the guys on the floor or checking the weighbridge figures. It is a straightforward life. We have our routines, like the morning meeting where we figure out the priorities for the shift. Most of us have lived in the township for years, so we know everyone’s names. It is a community-focused way of working where the job comes first. We are just a bunch of regular people doing our bit for the steel industry in this corner of Gujarat. We do not need anything fancy, just our tools and a bit of focus to get through the day.
