Essar Steel Ltd.

Our place is at B-39 in the C.Z. Patel Park area of Chhaprabhatha. This is in the 394107 part of Surat. It’s a bit further out from the main city center, which means there’s a little more space for us to move around. Essar Steel Ltd. has been here for a good while. The park area is mostly residential but we have our commercial setup tucked in there. We have a yard area where we store some of the heavier steel pieces. It can get pretty messy when it rains, but that’s just part of the job. We have a small office room where we keep the records and the computer. It’s a bit cramped when more than two people are in there at once. The light through the window is nice in the morning though. We usually start the day with a quick check of what needs to be sent out to the sites. Chhaprabhatha is a growing area so we see new buildings going up all the time around us. We don't have any flashy brochures or a big sales pitch. We just tell people what we have and what it costs. It’s an easy-going way to run things. We’ve made some good friends with the other business owners nearby. We just focus on the daily grind and making sure the orders are correct. It's not glamorous work, but it's what we know how to do best in this neighborhood.
