Our spot at E6/23 inside Nand Niketan is where we handle the daily operations for Essar Steel Ltd in Hazira. Being tucked away in the Essar Township means we are right where the action is for the steel industry in Surat. It’s a functional space, nothing too fancy, with plenty of desks and a lot of paper moving around. We spend a lot of time coordinating with the plants and the transport guys. The humidity here in Gujarat 394 270 can be quite something, and we definitely feel it during the monsoon season. We aren't here to give sales pitches or show off; we just handle the steel side of things. It’s noisy sometimes and the phones don't seem to stop ringing, but that means we’re staying busy. Many of us have been working in this township for a long time, so we know most of the faces around here. We try to keep things simple and direct. If there’s a problem with an order, we just sit down and figure it out. It’s not always perfect, and sometimes we run into delays, but we always stay at it until the work is finished. It’s a local operation with local people who understand how this business works from the ground up. We’re just regular folks doing our part in the big steel world. Our office might be a bit cluttered, but we know where everything is.
