Our place is at A/220 in the Smurti Society. It’s right near the GIDC area on AK Road in Katargam. Being close to the industrial zone is handy for a steel business like ours. We get a lot of dust from the road, but that’s just part of being in an active part of Surat. We’ve been here for a long time and the walls could probably tell a few stories about the steel trade. It’s a basic office with a few tables and chairs. We don't need much more than that to get the job done. We spend our time checking orders and making sure the inventory is where it should be. It’s not the kind of work that gets you on the news, but it's important to us. We know our customers by their first names and they know they can just call us up when they need something. We don't do any flashy marketing. We just rely on doing things properly and being honest with people. If a shipment is going to be late, we tell them. That’s how we’ve always done it. It’s a bit noisy with the traffic outside, but we’re used to it. Just a group of people working hard in Katargam. We focus on the steel and the people we sell it to. It’s a good way to live and we wouldn't change it much.
