Essar Steel Ltd

Our office is in the Essar Township, known as Nandiniketan, out here in Hazira. Specifically, we are at I1/51 in Ferrous Towers 1. Since we’re right in the township, we’re surrounded by the people who actually run the steel plant. It’s a unique place to work because it’s a whole community built around Essar Steel Ltd. The building is a standard tower, nothing too special to look at, but it’s where we get the heavy lifting of administration done. Living and working in the same area means there isn't much of a commute, which is nice. We spend our days looking at spreadsheets and coordinating with the different departments. It can get pretty busy during the shift changes. We don’t use much corporate talk here; we’re mostly just talking shop and trying to solve problems as they come up. The air smells like the industry nearby, and you can always hear the hum of the plant in the distance. We’ve got a small team in this office and we’ve all been together for quite some time. It feels more like a family than a business sometimes. We don’t have a fancy reception or anything, just a few chairs for visitors and a lot of work on the desks. It’s a practical, no-nonsense environment for anyone who knows the steel industry. We just keep our heads down and work.
