Our office is located at 303 Akashdarshan Apartments on Rander Road. It’s right near Shrenik Park and the Prime Arcade in Surat. Ananda Natarajan is usually the one you’ll find here handling the daily things. It’s a bit different being in an apartment building rather than a big warehouse, but we make it work for our needs. We use the space to manage the orders and talk to clients who are in this part of the city. It’s a bit quieter than the heavy industrial zones, which is a nice change of pace. We have files stacked up on the tables and a computer that has certainly seen better days. Rander Road is always busy, so there’s a constant stream of cars and people outside. We mostly deal with the logistics and the planning side of the steel business from here. It feels more like a home office than some corporate headquarters. We drink a lot of tea and spend hours on the phone. Sometimes we have to run down to the street to meet a driver who can’t find the building entrance. It’s not a polished operation, but we get the job done and keep the records straight. We don’t have any fancy brochures to hand out to visitors. We just explain what we can do and go from there. Being near Prime Arcade means we can grab a quick bite when we’re too busy to cook. It’s a decent place to work.
