Our place is located at Plot No-199/200 inside the Ambika Industrial Estate 1. It is off Udhna Road, not too far from the Bhatar Char Rasta. It’s a big estate and we have a decent amount of space here for our metal work. We do a lot of processing and handling of different materials. The machines can be quite loud when they are all running at once. We started this business because we knew how to handle metal and there was a need for it in this area. It is a straightforward operation. We have guys who know how to operate the cutters and the rollers without much supervision. The floor is usually covered in metal shavings and we have to sweep up a lot. It’s not the kind of place you’d go to buy a gift, it’s a factory. We focus on getting the dimensions right and making sure the material is solid. Sometimes we stay late when a big truck needs to be loaded for the next morning. There isn't much decoration on the walls, just some calendars and maybe a few tools hanging up. We aren't trying to be anything we are not. We just run Ankur Metal from this plot in the estate. If someone needs metal work done near Udhna Road, they usually find their way to us eventually. It’s just how it goes in this line of work. We spend our days working hard.
