Anita Steel Centre

At Anita Steel Centre in Chembur West, we mostly deal with household items. Our shop is in the Adajan Dn B Wing, and it’s packed with all sorts of things made of steel. We have big pots, small spoons, tiffin carriers, and racks for the kitchen. I spend my days organizing the shelves because things tend to get messy when customers are looking through the stock. Steel is good because it lasts a long time and doesn't break easily, which is why people around here like it. The shop is located in area code 41308. It’s a bit of a tight space because there are so many things piled up, but I know where everything is. If someone asks for a specific size of a kadai, I can usually find it in a minute. I don’t have a website or anything like that. People just walk in when they need a new utensil or if they are setting up a new kitchen. My father used to do something similar, so I grew up knowing about different grades of metal. It’s not a glamorous job, and my hands often smell like iron by the end of the day. But it's good work. We see a lot of families coming in, especially before festivals. I just try to give them a fair price and make sure they get something that won't rust. It’s just a basic steel shop in Chembur where you get what you pay for without any fuss.
