Most of the people involved are just local farmers who live and work in this area. We thought it was time to get organized so we could manage our crops and sales as a group. It’s a lot of manual work and the days are usually long. Sometimes we meet up at the house to talk about what we’re planting or how the last season went. It isn't always smooth, and we definitely make some mistakes along the way while learning how to run a company. But the main thing is that we are all from around here and we understand the land. Biramitrapur is our home, and Mahuatoli is where we do our business. We don't use a lot of fancy words or have big marketing plans. We just focus on the farming part and trying to make sure everyone gets a fair deal. You might see us around the ward talking to other farmers or moving supplies. It’s a very local operation, run by people who actually get their hands dirty. We started this because we realized that being alone as a small farmer is tough. Together, even if we are just a small group in Ward 1, it feels a bit more manageable to handle the daily grind of the agricultural life and we hope to keep growing slowly.
