Gurundia Agro Farmer Producer Company Limited

We are based in Gurundia, which is quite a stretch out in the Sundergarh district. Our operations run out of the house belonging to Dominic Soreng, who is the son of the late Markus Soreng. Most people around here knew Markus, so it’s a good landmark for the locals to find us. Being a farmer producer company means we spend most of our time out in the fields or sitting around a small table trying to figure out the best way to move our produce to the markets. It isn't easy work because the roads out here aren't the best, especially when the monsoon hits Orissa and everything turns to mud. We have a lot of local farmers who are part of this, and we all just try to help each other out with seeds and tools when we can. The office is usually filled with the smell of grain and the sound of people arguing about prices or the weather. We don't have any big corporate goals, we just want to make sure the families in Gurundia have a way to sell what they grow without too much trouble. It's a simple life and the work is hard, but we've been doing it this way for a while now. If you're ever in the Sundergarh area and pass through Gurundia, you’ll probably see us near Dominic’s place, just working through the daily chores of the agro business.
