Our shop is located inside the 7 Square Mall, which sits right at the Main Chowk in Hyderpora. It’s a busy intersection in the Budgam area, so there is always a lot of movement outside. Working inside a mall is a bit different than being on a regular street because we have to follow the mall timings and everything is a bit more enclosed. We spend our mornings setting up the displays and making sure everything looks right under the ceiling lights. The 190014 area has a lot of people passing through, so we see a good mix of locals and folks just traveling past the chowk. The shop isn't massive, but we make use of the space we have. Sometimes the mall is very quiet, especially on weekday mornings, and then it gets really crowded on the weekends. We don't use any loud sales pitches or anything. We just stay at our spot and help people when they come in to look at what we have. It can get a bit stuffy inside the mall when the crowds are big, so we take breaks to step outside near the chowk for some fresh air. It’s an honest way to spend the day, just being part of the retail life in Hyderpora. We’ve gotten to know the other shop owners in 7 Square Mall, which makes it feel like a little community inside the bigger building. We just keep at it and see what each new day brings to the mall.
