Down at Pullo Complex on the M A Link Road, you’ll find 86 Hair Weaving Center. We’re in the Khanyar area of Srinagar, right near the JK Bank in Munawar Abad. This isn't your typical barber shop. We specialize in hair weaving, which is a bit more detailed than just a regular haircut. People come to us when they’re starting to lose hair or just want a different look. It takes a lot of patience and a steady hand. The shop is located in a busy part of town where the traffic on the link road never really seems to stop. You can hear the horns honking and the buses passing by all day long. Inside, though, we try to keep things a bit more focused. Srinagar can get very cold, so in the winter we’re usually huddled inside with the heaters going, working away. We see people from all walks of life. Some are shy about needing hair weaving, so we just keep things professional and quiet. It’s a specialized trade, and we’ve been doing it here in the Pullo Complex for a while now. Most of our customers come through word of mouth. They know where we are, tucked in near the bank. It’s a small space but it’s ours, and we just keep busy with the needles and the hair, day after day.
