Rani Beautician

Rani Beautician is located at House No 3731, in Street No 9 of the Narang Colony area in Batamaloo, Srinagar. This is a residential area, so most of our customers are the ladies who live in the surrounding houses and streets. It’s a small setup I run right out of the house. It isn't a fancy commercial salon with big glass windows and bright lights. It’s a quiet and private place where women can come and feel comfortable while getting their work done. I do basic things like threading, hair cutting, and applying henna for special occasions. People usually call me before coming over just to make sure I am free and not busy with another customer. Srinagar winters are very cold, so I keep a small heater running in the room to keep the ladies warm while they wait. The space is simple with just the necessary tools and a mirror. I don't have any employees; it’s just me doing all the work by myself. I’ve been doing this for many years now. I know the families in Narang Colony quite well. We talk about our kids and what’s happening in the local neighborhood. It’s more of a personal service than a business. I don't advertise or put up big signs. Word of mouth is how most people find me. It’s a modest way to earn a living, and I like being able to help the local women look their best for weddings or functions.
