Naaz Hair Cutting Salon

Being right near New Era School means we see a lot of activity throughout the day. The shop sits on the Main Road in Raj Bagh, which is always busy with cars and people walking to the market. We opened Naaz Hair Cutting Salon because this part of Srinagar needed a place where you could just walk in without making a big fuss. The walls are painted a light color, and we have a couple of large mirrors that take up most of the space. During the afternoon, you can hear the school bells ringing and the kids shouting outside as they head home. A lot of parents drop by while they are waiting for their children to finish classes. It’s a good spot to sit for twenty minutes and get a quick trim. The chairs are old-fashioned but they do the job just fine. We keep some old newspapers on the table for people to read while they wait their turn. It’s not a fancy lounge or anything like that, just a regular local shop where the floor gets covered in hair by the end of the day. Our neighbors at the other shops on the road are friendly, and we often share a cup of tea during the slow hours. Srinagar can be unpredictable, but our doors stay open as much as possible. We don’t have a website or anything, just the sign out front that people recognize when they drive past Raj Bagh.
