Tripti Restaurant & Bar

We are tucked inside Hotel Shanti Palace at A-67/1 in Mahipalpur Extension. If you’re driving along N.H.-8 near the airport, you’ve probably passed us a dozen times without realizing it. Tripti Restaurant & Bar is where people end up when they’ve had a long day of flying or sitting in Delhi traffic. The lights are a bit low, and the chairs are the kind you can actually sit in for a while. We aren't trying to be a fancy lounge with loud music and overpriced drinks. It’s just a bar and a place to eat. We get people from all over the world because of the location, but we also have our regulars who live nearby in the 110037 area. The menu has the usual stuff you’d expect, and the bartenders know how to pour a drink without measuring it out to the last drop. It’s a bit worn around the edges, maybe, but that’s because people actually use the place. We spend our shifts wiping down the counter and talking to whoever is sitting there. Some nights are quiet and we just watch the news on the TV, and other nights every table is full of people laughing. We don’t have a big philosophy about service. We just bring the food out while it’s hot and keep the beer cold. It’s a straightforward job, and we’re just glad to have a spot on the highway where people can rest.
