Auto Caf Restaurant

Our little restaurant is tucked away in the Qutab Institutional Area, right behind the Qutab Hotel. It’s a bit of a specific spot to find if you aren’t looking for it, but once you’re here, it’s quite simple. We mostly see students and people working in the nearby offices. The vibe is pretty casual because of the location. We spend a lot of time behind the counter, getting orders ready and making sure the coffee is hot. It’s not a huge place, so it can get a bit cramped when everyone comes in for lunch at the same time. We don’t do anything too fancy. We just focus on getting the food out and making sure the tables aren’t sticky. Someone is always sweeping or refilling the napkins. We’ve been in this part of Delhi for a bit, and we’ve gotten used to the rhythm of the institutional area. It gets quiet in the evenings when the offices close up. We use that time to prep for the next day and clean the kitchen properly. It’s just a few of us running the place. We don’t have a big marketing plan or anything; we just open the doors and start cooking. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy. You just walk past the main hotel and you’ll see us there in C-8. We try to stay organized and keep the kitchen running smooth for the lunch rush and the afternoon tea crowd.
