The Tarot West [Roots]

We are based up here on the first floor of building 428/3 in Ghitorni. It is right on that busy stretch of the Main Mehrauli - Gurgaon Road where the traffic never really seems to stop. It gets pretty loud outside during the rush hour but inside we keep things a bit more quiet so people can actually hear themselves think. We started doing this because there was an interest in tarot and the deeper roots of things in this part of town. Most days involve just sitting with the cards and talking to folks who walk up the stairs. The stairs can be a bit steep if you are not used to them. We have been here for a while now and the neighborhood has changed a lot around us. There is always construction or someone moving something on the road below. We do not have any fancy office furniture or anything like that. It is just a couple of chairs and the decks we use. Sometimes the electricity goes out for a bit but we just light a candle and keep going. People find us because they are looking for some kind of direction or just want to see what the cards have to say about their week. It is not a big operation with lots of staff. It is mostly just us handling the appointments and making sure the space stays tidy enough for the next person who comes in. We like being in this part of Delhi because it feels real.
