The Golden Dragon Restaurant

We are over in the DDA Market in the RBI Colony area of Hauz Khas. The Golden Dragon has been a part of this little market for a long time. Hauz Khas is a busy part of Delhi, but our corner feels a bit more like a neighborhood spot. We mostly see the same faces every week—people who live nearby or work in the local offices. It’s a small restaurant, and we haven’t changed much over the years. The walls might need a bit of paint and the chairs have been around a while, but we like it that way. We do Chinese food, or at least the version of it that people in Delhi have grown up with. It’s a family-run kind of thing, so you might see the owners sitting at the back or helping out when it gets busy. We don't have a fancy reservation system; you just show up and see if there’s a table. Sometimes the delivery bikes are parked all over the front, making it hard to get in, but we try to keep it organized. We aren't trying to be a high-end dining destination. We just want to cook food that tastes familiar and keep the prices where they should be. It’s a simple life running a restaurant in a DDA market, and we are quite content with that. We just do our best to make sure the food is hot and the orders are correct for everyone.
