The Clay Oven Restaurant

Down here in Green Park, specifically behind the Ashirwad building, you will find us at Hotel Park Residency. We have been serving food for a long time. The kitchen gets hot, especially when the ovens are going full blast, but that is just part of the job. Most of the people who come in live nearby or are staying at the hotel upstairs. It is a busy little corner of Delhi. We spend most of our mornings getting the vegetables chopped and making sure the coal is ready. It is not a huge place, just a few tables and chairs where people can sit down and eat something warm. Sometimes the traffic outside is loud, but once you are inside, it feels a bit different. We do not have any big speeches about what we do. We just cook and serve. The floors get scuffed and the menus get a bit worn out from use, but we think that shows people actually like being here. We try to keep things simple. If someone wants a meal, we make it. It is honest work and we have gotten used to the rhythms of the neighborhood. The afternoon slump is usually quiet, then the dinner rush starts and we are all back on our feet. It is just a regular restaurant doing regular things for the folks in Green Park. We don't need any bells or whistles. Just good heat in the oven.
