Tandoori Hut

We are located at 181/2 in Satya Niketan, which is right near Sri Venkateswara College in Delhi. Because of the college, we mostly see students all day long. They’re usually looking for something quick and not too expensive, so that’s what we do at Tandoori Hut. The place is pretty small and can get really cramped when a whole group of friends comes in at once. It’s noisy and energetic, which keeps us on our toes. The kitchen is tiny, so we have to be really coordinated to not bump into each other. We spend a lot of time making sure the tandoor stays at the right heat. It’s not an easy job, especially when it's forty degrees outside in the Delhi summer. We don't have any fancy decor or comfortable sofas, just basic stools and tables that can handle the heavy use. Our staff is used to the fast pace. We don't have a corporate office or a big manager; we just handle everything ourselves. If a bulb goes out or a chair breaks, we fix it. It's a practical way to run a business. We’ve been in Satya Niketan for a bit now and we’ve seen a lot of students graduate and move on. It’s a busy, messy, and loud life, but we like being right in the middle of it all. We just keep our heads down and keep the orders moving as fast as we can.
