Swaad Lajwab

Swaad Lajwab is located at G52 in the DDA Market, which most people know as Manish Market in Pocket 2 of Dwarka. We are quite near Sector 11, so there is always a decent amount of foot traffic around here. Running a shop in a Delhi market means dealing with a lot of noise and a lot of different people every day. It is a small space, but we have managed to fit everything we need into it. We started this because we wanted to work for ourselves and be part of the local market community. The mornings are usually spent checking our supplies and getting the stove going. In the evenings, the market gets really crowded with families out for a walk and people finishing work. We are right in the thick of it. It gets hot inside, especially during the summer months, but we just keep the fans going and stay busy. We don't have any polished uniforms or a big brand name behind us. It is just a local shop where we do the cooking and the cleaning ourselves. Sometimes the delivery bikes take up all the space out front, and we have to go out and ask them to move so people can get in. It is just the usual daily grind of a small business in Dwarka. We are happy just being a part of this neighborhood and seeing our regular customers every day.
