About National Book Trust – Education in South West Delhi
You can find the National Book Trust over at A 5 Green Park. It’s a pretty easy place to spot if you know the area, though the sign is a bit small. Inside, there are shelves upon shelves of books stacked up in every corner. Some of the boxes stay on the floor for a few days when a new shipment arrives because we haven't found a spot for them yet. It smells like old paper and ink when you first walk in, which is actually quite nice. People from all over the city stop by to see what’s new or to find something specific they’ve been looking for. The windows let in a bit of light, but it’s mostly artificial bulbs keeping the place bright. There are desks where people sit and handle paperwork all day, and there's always a bit of clutter around. It isn't a fancy office with glass walls or anything like that. It’s more of a working space where people deal with books and get them ready for the day. Green Park is a nice enough neighborhood, though parking can be a real headache sometimes if you come at the wrong hour. We’ve been at A 5 for a long time now, so we’re well-settled into the rhythm of the street. Sometimes the tea man comes by in the afternoon, and everyone takes a short break together on the sidewalk or by the door. It’s just a regular office full of people who deal with stacks of reading materials every single day without much fuss or bother. It is a quiet but busy spot at A 5 Green Park.
