Karara Mujassme (India)

Our location is at Chandra Gardens in Rajokri, which is right near the Air Force Station. You can hear the planes taking off and landing pretty clearly from here, which took some getting used to when we first moved in. Being in Rajokri gives us a bit more space than we would have in the middle of the city, which is good because the things we have here are quite large. We have a lot of stone work and statues spread out across the grounds. It is more of an outdoor yard than a traditional office or shop. The dust from the nearby roads often settles on the pieces, so we spend a lot of time washing them down. It is a very physical job and we are usually outside in the sun for most of the day. The garden area is quite big and we have different sections for different types of work. We don't have a polished showroom with air conditioning and soft music. If you visit, you should probably wear sensible shoes because the ground is a bit uneven in places. We have a small shed where we keep the tools and another small room where we sit down to do the paperwork. It is a very practical setup and we like being out in the open air, even with the noise from the airfield nearby. It feels more natural than being stuck inside an office all day long. We just get on with it.
