Joyti (S.P.J.) Overseas

Joyti (S.P.J.) Overseas is based in Mahipalpur. We have a basement space at L-382-C, right on the Main Road. Being in a basement means we don't get much natural light, but it keeps us away from the noise of the traffic upstairs. Mahipalpur is always busy because it's so close to the airport. We deal with international trade and shipping. There’s a lot of paperwork involved. We spend our days filling out forms and talking to agents. Sometimes the boxes are stacked so high we can barely see the walls. It’s a small team here. We make our own tea and mostly just focus on the computer screens. We started out small and stayed that way. We don't see the point in having a big office when we can do everything from here. The stairs coming down can be a bit steep, so you have to be careful. We have some storage in the back for samples and things that need to be sent out. It’s not a glamorous job. Most of the time we are just waiting for emails or tracking numbers to update. We stay busy with the local market too. It’s a lot of coordination and making sure the numbers add up. We just keep going one day at a time. It works out okay.
