Indian Zaika

We are located at Rz V 3 on Sulabh Road, right in the middle of Mahavir Enclave in Delhi. If you know where the Sulabh Mahavir Enclave is, we are just a short walk away from there. Delhi gets really crowded and this specific part of the city is no different, so there is always a lot of noise and people moving about right outside our front door. Inside the shop, it is mostly about the smell of different spices and the sound of metal pans hitting the gas burners. We started this place because we wanted to cook the kind of food we actually like eating when we are at home. It is not a very big space, so things can get a bit tight and cramped when it’s busy, especially in the evenings when everyone is getting off work and wants a hot meal to take home. The walls have a few simple decorations, but nothing too much because we prefer to keep things basic. We spend a lot of our time cleaning up and making sure everything is in the right place for the next day's service. Sometimes the power goes out in the neighborhood and we have to scramble to keep things going, but that’s just part of running a small business in this area. We see a lot of the same faces every single day, mostly neighbors who live just down the street. We don't have a big corporate setup or anything. It’s just us and the stove.
