Vishal Sharma Advocate

My office is located in the Saketpur Complex, specifically in the Chandra Block at Chamber Number 439. It is a busy place with a lot of lawyers and clients walking around the halls at all hours. I spend most of my day sitting behind a desk covered in files and legal papers. It isn’t the most organized-looking room, but I know where everything is. People come in with all sorts of problems that need sorting out in the courts. I spend a lot of time reading through documents and writing things down. It gets quiet in the chamber sometimes, but then the court bell rings or someone knocks on the door and it’s back to work. I’ve been working out of this Saket office for a while now. The complex has a specific smell of old paper and tea from the nearby stalls. Sometimes the paperwork piles up so high I can barely see the clock on the wall. I try to talk to people in a way they actually understand, without using too many big legal words that don’t mean much to a regular person. It’s just me doing my job, trying to help people navigate the rules. Dealing with the legal system is slow, and I tell everyone that right from the start. We drink a lot of chai here to keep going through the long afternoons. That is how the day usually goes in Chamber 439.
