I am L B Rai. My office is located at 204 Delhi High Court Lawyers Chamber. It’s a busy place, especially in the mornings when everyone is rushing to their hearings. I’ve spent a lot of years in these halls. Most days, I’m sitting behind a desk covered in folders. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s what I know. People come to see me when they have problems they can't solve on their own. I usually just tell them the truth about their situation. No point in sugarcoating how the law works. The Delhi High Court has a lot of energy, and being right in the chambers means I’m always near the action. My space isn't very large, just enough for a couple of chairs and my files. I’ve seen the court change over the years, new faces coming and old ones leaving. I’ve stayed put. If you walk past the 204 chamber, you might hear the sound of an old fan or me talking on the phone. I don’t use a lot of technology if I can help it. Paper and ink still feel more reliable to me. It's a bit of a walk from the gate, but most people find it okay. I focus on my work and try to get home at a decent hour, though that doesn't always happen. It's just honest work in a busy city. I’ve made plenty of friends around here over the decades.
