About Jagat Singh – Legal Consultants in South Delhi
My workspace is at 373 in the Delhi High Court Lawyers Chamber. It’s a small room, but it’s packed from floor to ceiling with folders, law books, and huge stacks of paper. The whole building is always buzzing with people in black robes rushing around and the sound of printers going off. I spend most of my day reading through files or meeting people who have questions about their legal cases. It’s a very busy environment, and sometimes it feels like there isn't enough space for all the documents we have to keep for the court. Being right here in the High Court means I’m always close to where the hearings happen. I usually have some tea brought in a few times a day while I go through the latest filings. The chamber isn't fancy at all; it’s just a functional place where I can sit down and focus on the details of the law. I've been working here for many years, so I know most of the people in the neighboring chambers. We share the same hallways and wait for the same elevators every morning. It’s a lot of long hours, especially when a hearing is coming up soon. I don’t use much technology besides a basic computer and my phone. Most of my work is still about reading the fine print on actual pieces of paper. It’s a quiet kind of life inside the chamber.
