We are tucked away at 355 Kalkaji Main Road, right near the Nilgiri Apartments. The space is usually a bit of a mess with ink spills and half-finished canvases, but that’s just how things go when you are working with your hands every day. We spend our days teaching people how to get their ideas down on paper or fabric. It isn’t always easy, and sometimes the printing press acts up, but we figure it out together. The main road outside is always noisy, but once you step inside, it feels different. We have old tables that have seen a lot of use over the years. We started this because we liked making things and wanted a place to do it where others could join in. There are piles of paper in the corner and brushes soaking in jars almost all the time. Being near the apartments means we get a lot of neighbors stopping by to see what we are making. It is a practical kind of place, nothing too fancy. We don't worry much about the decor as long as the lights work and there is enough ink for everyone. Sometimes we stay late just to finish a project or clean up the floor. It is a good way to spend the day, even if our hands are always stained with some color or another. We just like the process of seeing something new appear on a blank surface.
