Carmos

Our place, Carmos, is over in Lajpat Nagar-1. We are right on Birbal Road, basically opposite the petrol pump near the Defence Colony flyover. It’s a busy spot with cars always zooming by on the flyover at all hours. The shop is in B-105. It's a bit of a crowded area, but that’s just how Lajpat Nagar is. Inside, we have our workspace set up for the day. It's not a very big shop, but we have enough room for what we need to do. We usually have some boxes stacked up near the back wall. The floor is concrete and we have some metal shelves to hold our things. Most of the time, it’s just us working through orders or talking to people who drop by for a chat or business. The noise from the road is pretty constant during the day. We have a small desk where we keep the ledger and the phone. It’s a very hands-on kind of business for us. We don't spend money on fancy rugs or paintings for the walls. We just keep the tools and the stock organized as best as we can. Sometimes it gets dusty because of the road being so close, so we have to wipe things down often. It’s a simple operation. We open up early and usually stay until the sun goes down and the traffic finally slows.
