Craftmart

Craftmart is located at 128 Jangpura, right along the Ring Road. Being on such a busy road means we hear the constant sound of cars and buses, but it also makes us very easy to find. The building itself is an older structure and our space inside is strictly for working. We don't have a showroom or anything like that. Instead, we have tables piled high with different materials and half-finished craft pieces. It’s often a bit messy with bits of thread or paper on the floor, but that is just how it goes when you are making things. We have a small crew of people who have been with us for a long time. We don't use any fancy management techniques; we just talk to each other and get the work done. The lighting isn't great in the back of the room, so we mostly huddle near the windows during the day. Sometimes the traffic on the Ring Road gets so backed up that we just sit and watch it for a bit during our tea break. We focus on the practical side of running a business and don't worry too much about appearances. It’s a honest, small-scale operation and we like it that way. We just keep our heads down and stay busy with our orders. It is a lot of effort every day, but seeing the final products boxed up and ready for delivery makes it all feel worthwhile in the end.
