Andaz Creation

Andaz Creation is on the first floor of building number 32 in Shahpur Jat. Shahpur Jat is a busy place with lots of small alleys and creative spots, so we fit right in. Being on the first floor is nice because we don't have to climb too many stairs, but we’re still high enough to be away from the direct noise of the street. The office is usually a bit of a mess with fabric samples and sketches lying around. We try to keep it organized, but when we’re in the middle of a project, things tend to spread out. We have a couple of large tables for laying out materials and a few sewing machines in the corner that see a lot of use. The lighting is okay, though we added some extra lamps for the evenings. We don't have a big sign outside or a fancy reception desk. People usually just knock and walk in. We spend a lot of time talking about designs and figuring out how to make things look right. It’s a lot of trial and error. Most of us have been doing this for a long time, so we don't need much supervision. We just get on with it. The neighborhood has some great places to grab a snack, which is good because we often work late when there’s a deadline. It’s a simple, honest workspace where we just focus on making things one piece at a time. It gets a bit hectic sometimes, but that is just part of the job.
