This is Naoherua Farmer Producer Company Limited based in Kalamonipara village. You can find us near Mazbat in the Darrang district. Birendra Daimari is the person who helps manage things at his place. We are basically just a group of local people who farm for a living. The area around here is all about fields and crops. We decided to come together to see if we could manage our produce better. It’s hard work being out in the sun all day, but it is what we know. Life in Mazbat is slow and simple. We don't have fancy offices or anything like that. Just our homes and our land. Most of us have lived here our whole lives. We grow whatever the season allows. It’s a lot of manual labor. Our group is small but we are trying to grow. There are many challenges in farming in Assam, especially with the rain and the heat. We talk about seeds and tools over tea when the sun goes down. It’s just how things are done here in the village. We wanted to have a proper name for our group, so we registered this company. It helps us stay organized with the paperwork. Our address is at Birendra Daimari’s house in Kalamonipara. We keep our focus on the crops and the dirt under our fingernails. It’s honest work and we are proud of that. We spend our mornings checking the fields and our evenings planning for the next harvest.
