Goibari Collective Farmers Producer Company Limited

Goibari Collective Farmers Producer Company Limited is based in Dimilapar village. We are out in the Tamulpur area, specifically in the Pub Baska mouza. It is a beautiful part of the country, but farming here has its share of problems. We started this collective because we wanted to have a bit more say in how we sell our stuff. It is just a group of us from the village and surrounding spots like Dumoria. We don't have a lot of fancy equipment. A lot of the work is still done by hand or with old tools that we’ve had for years. When we meet up, it’s usually in someone’s yard or under a tree to talk about the prices at the market or whose field needs more water. We don't use any of those big business words because they don't really fit what we do. We are just growing food and trying to make a living. Some seasons are great and the barns are full, and other times we just have to scrape by. It is honest work, though. We know the land here in Dimilapar inside and out. Being a collective means we look out for each other, which is important when the weather turns bad or things get difficult. It is just how we live and work together in this corner of the world. We don't need things to be complicated.
