If you head out to Mazbat in the Darrang district, you’ll find us at Village Number 3. That’s where Daogalu Farmer Producer Company Limited is based. We operate out of Asina Khakhlary’s place. It’s a very rural area, and everyone knows everyone else. Most of the people around here are farmers, so it made sense for us to come together like this. We don't have a lot of expensive equipment or a high-tech office. We mostly sit on the porch or in the main room and go over what needs to be done. The land around Mazbat is good, but it takes a lot of effort to keep things running. We deal with the usual stuff like pests, unpredictable rain, and trying to find buyers who will pay a fair price. We are not interested in sounding like a big company from the city. We are just neighbors trying to help each other get the most out of our small plots of land. Every season brings a different kind of work. Some days we are focused on the harvest, other days we are just trying to fix the old machinery. It’s a slow pace of life but there is always something to do. We just want to make sure our community in Village Number 3 can keep doing what we’ve always done for our children. It is hard work but it is what we know best.
