Sarswati Vidya Mandir

Up here in Bijari, things move a bit slower than they do in the bigger cities. Sarswati Vidya Mandir is located in the Tehsil Barsar area of Hamirpur, and it is a pretty quiet spot most of the year. We are surrounded by the hills of Himachal Pradesh, and the air is usually fresh, which is a nice change if you’re coming from the plains. It is a very hands-on kind of place. The teachers and the staff all know each other well, and we know the parents too. It is just a small-town school trying to do its best by the people who live in these hills. It’s not complicated, and we like it that way because it keeps things simple and honest.
