Baddi International School

Baddi International School is tucked away in Makhnumajra, which is a bit of a dusty area because of all the factories around here in Baddi. If you know this part of Solan, you know it is mostly industrial, but we have our little corner for the school. The address is 173205 if you are looking for it on a map. We have a fair amount of space for the kids to run around, which is good because there is not much else for them to do in this immediate neighborhood. The building is solid and has been here for some time now. Every morning, the gates open and the local kids walk in while the buses bring others from the surrounding villages. It is a very practical kind of place. We spend a lot of time just keeping the dust off the desks and making sure the water coolers are full. It is not like those schools you see in movies; it is just a real school where teachers teach and kids learn. The weather in Solan can be nice, but mostly it is just work, work, work for everyone in this town. We see the parents coming by after their shifts at the plants to pick up their children. It feels like a small community even though the town is so big and busy. We just try to keep things running smooth day in and day out.
