Sawan Modern Rice Mill

Our rice mill, Sawan Modern Rice Mill, is situated at 5/585 in Kadaladi. We are pretty close to the ICICI Bank, which is a good landmark for anyone trying to find us. Despite the word modern in our name, we still do a lot of things the old-fashioned way because that is what we are comfortable with. The mill has been a part of this community for quite a while now. We mostly spend our time dealing with the local harvest and getting the rice ready for the market. It is a noisy place to work, and you have to shout sometimes to be heard over the engines. We don't mind it much, you get used to the rhythm of the machines after a few weeks. The area around Kadaladi is nice, and being near the bank means there's always some activity on the street. We have a small team here, and most of us have been working together for years. We aren't looking to become some giant company. We just want to keep the mill running and make sure the quality of the rice is what it should be. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait around, which gives us time to have some tea and talk. It is a simple operation and we don't try to make it sound like more than it is. Just a place where we work hard and hope for good seasons.
