If you walk through the Sabji Mandi main market in Ward 16, you will find our school tucked away. Always having noise and movement around us is part of being in the heart of Fatehpur Shekhawati. Families living right here in the market area of Sikar find it quite convenient. Operating in this old part of town has been our reality for a long time. The sound of vendors setting up marks the start of the morning before students arrive. In the winter, the morning fog can be thick around the vegetable stalls, but our building is easy to find. Plain rooms and narrow hallways are what you find inside, typical for these older buildings in the Shekhawati region. Getting the lessons done is our main focus. Between periods, teachers sit in the staff room drinking tea and checking notebooks. There is no giant playground, but kids still find space to move around during the breaks. We don't have a big library, but we have enough books for the students to study for their exams. Even if the paint is peeling in a few corners, the roof remains solid. Being part of the same community means most parents know us by name. Senior secondary classes keep us busy with all the board exam preparations.
