Gyanodaya Public School

Our school sits right on the Jaipur Pilani Road, specifically along State Highway 8 in the Dadia area of Sikar. Because we are on the highway, we see a lot of trucks and cars passing by all day long. It can be a bit dusty outside, which is just how things are in this part of Rajasthan. The building is a solid structure that has been standing here for quite some time. We have students coming in from different parts of Sikar and the nearby villages. The classrooms are basic with wooden benches and blackboards that have seen a lot of use over the years. We don't have air conditioning in every corner, so we rely on big windows and ceiling fans to stay cool during the hot months. Life here follows the rhythm of the school bell. We start early to beat the worst of the heat and finish up by the afternoon. The staff handles everything from teaching math to making sure the playground equipment is safe to use. It’s a no-nonsense kind of place. We don't spend money on fancy decorations; we'd rather just keep the roof in good repair and the books in the library updated when we can. You’ll often find the teachers sitting together during the break, drinking tea and talking about the day’s lessons. It is just a regular school trying to provide a decent place for the local kids to learn their lessons.
