We are out in Nimkathana, Sikar, specifically at the Sp-1 location. The area here is quite open and can get very dusty when the wind picks up. Sikar is a place where things move a bit slower than in the big cities, and our school reflects that. The building is a simple structure that serves the local families around the 332713 pin code. We have a courtyard where the kids gather for assembly in the mornings before it gets too hot. The sun can be quite strong here, so we appreciate the shade whenever we can find it. Most of our students come from the nearby villages and neighborhoods. We have basic classrooms with benches and enough light coming through the windows. There isn't any fancy equipment, just the stuff we need to teach. The staff room is small and usually filled with stacks of notebooks that need grading. We have a water cooler that everyone uses, especially during the summer months. People know us in Nimkathana as just another part of the community. We don't try to be anything we aren't. It’s just a school where children come to sit, read, and write. The gate stays open during the day, and you can hear the sounds of the town from the classrooms. It’s a practical place for learning. We’ve been here for years and the trees we planted at the start are finally tall.
