About Chitrakoot Public School – Education in Sikar
Chitrakoot Public School is located on Sujawas Road in the village of Goriyan, which is part of Sikar. It’s a bit of a drive out from the main city, so we serve the families living in the nearby rural areas. The school building is simple and has been around for some time. We have classrooms for the different grades and a big open space where the students gather for morning assembly. Life here moves a bit slower than in the big cities. We focus on the basic Rajasthan state syllabus and try to make sure every child gets a decent education. Most of the teachers live in Goriyan or the next village over, so everyone knows each other. It’s a tight-knit community. We don't have fancy labs or high-end computers, but we have enough to get the lessons done. The kids come in, often walking from their homes, and spend their day with us. We deal with the usual school stuff like dusty playgrounds, broken chalk, and making sure the exams are graded on time. It’s hard work, especially during the hot summer months, but we stay at it. Parents often drop by to talk about their kids' progress or to pay the fees. We just sit in the small office and have a chat. That’s how we do things here in Sikar. We just want the local children to have a chance to learn.
